Each year the 5th grade class attends four days at the School of Environmental Education (aka Camp Kappe). The S.E.E. staff offers an intriguing experience for 5th graders who come from private, parochial and public schools. The students, their teachers and chaperones learn about food chains and life cycles. They study botany, wild-life, farm animals and gardening. They are introduced to environmental issues and concerns. They learn about the effects of the environment on man and the effects of man on the environment. They are taught stewardship principles, which will enable them to protect our God-given resources and to use them wisely.
